Chris Lowail honed his talents over years of figurative drawing and painting.  He has exhibited in galleries all over the United States, and overseas as well.  He utilizes techniques pioneered by the old masters to create art that is both mysterious and beautiful.  Rich in symbols drawn from the past and cultural references from the near present.  He incorporates these signs into his works to draw the viewer closer into his nearly opaque visions and restless psyche.  All the while shedding light on the embodiment of spirits and deities, and illuminating more abstract qualities like the ubiquitous interaction of life and death, and the enigmatic nature of existence.
